  • Duration: 90 minutes of face-to-face time.
  • Format: online in our meeting room.
  • Deliverable: we will email a clear and actionable roadmap based on the points discussed during the session (not an AI summary, but compiled by the consultant) within three days.
  • Preparation: you will be sent a short questionnaire to complete in advance of the session.
  • Commitment: come ready to focus, with phones and emails off and something to jot down any notes.
  • Tailoring: the consultant will prepare for your session (desk research and your questionnaire answers) so that the session is completely tailored.

Every business has content that’s quietly gathering dust. Pages that once seemed spot-on but now feel off-message, or blogs that drive traffic but don’t convert. Instead of chucking everything away and starting from scratch, focus on refreshing your content. In this session, we’ll look at the content assets you already have and discuss how they could better reflect your business today as well as help you achieve your business goals.

You’ll come away with lots of tips to help you rework what you already have but also create better content in the future. Each session is unique because it looks at the actual content the business has already produced. We’ll look at the formats you have used, the style, the structure, and the brand voice to find the weaknesses and opportunities.

Great content isn’t static; it should evolve as your business grows and your audience’s needs shift. Learning to evaluate your existing content critically and make smart, impactful updates is an invaluable skill. Together, we’ll spot outdated messaging, poor readability, confusing messages, missed chances to convert, and more. This session is ideal for SMEs ready to extract every ounce of value from their hard-earned efforts.

How does booking work?

After you check out and pay for your chosen service, you’ll be directed to a calendar where you can pick a mutually convenient slot.

You can overlay your own calendar (Google, Microsoft, or Fastmail) during the booking process (only visible to you) to make it easier to find a good time.

After confirming this booking, you will be sent a confirmation email with the link to a virtual meeting room (which you can also access via the main menu above).

We use a platform called Whereby for these meetings (an alternative to Zoom/Teams). Just open our meeting room in any browser, enter your name, and join the call. No software downloads, no account logins, and no need to input meeting IDs or passcodes.

You’ll receive a reminder email 30 minutes before the meeting so you don’t forget. You may cancel your booking up to 48 hours in advance and receive a full refund. Last-minute cancellations will not be refunded.

Please note that while we will make every effort to accommodate the need to reschedule, repeat no-shows will not be allowed to book future services.

Who you’ll work with

You will work with our Managing Director, Scarlet Bierman. With over 30 years’ marketing and communications experience, she has worked in the UK, France, and Ireland across a wide range of industries in B2B, B2C and G2C.

A marketer with both technical and non-technical skills, Scarlet works with Engage Content’s clients on marketing strategies, content creation, brand development, newsletters, social media management, animated graphics and short-form video, website creation and maintenance, search engine and generative engine (AI) optimisation, user experience and usability, accessibility, localisation, and reporting and analysing results.

Scarlet has produced content for books, print publications, websites, blogs, videos, social media, and the press for the past three decades. Training first in desktop publishing, she moved into web development in the late 1990s and has worked in digital marketing since its earliest days, with a strong focus on content. Her experience in this field is second to none, and she was an advocate for quality content long before it became a mainstream marketing tactic. Passionate about environmental and social issues, she is also a champion of sustainable and ethical marketing strategies.

Scarlet is an experienced marketing and business mentor who has worked with Irish SME clients privately and through the Local Enterprise Offices.
